Academic Enterprise Incubator (AIP) is an academic body that was established by Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST) in 2006. We promote academic enterprise through participation in many events, organising workshops, training sessions, seminars and conferences. We wish to ensure optimal conditions to develop AIP entrepreneurs and support business activities.
The culmination of our all year round activities are events such as the Academic Enterprise Festival and the Academic Enterprise Competition. During the Festival we promote the idea of entrepreneurship through presenting AIP companies and participation of remarkable representatives from the world of science and business.
The aims of AIP activity are as follows:
- comprehensive assistance provided for persons who come from an academic environment in establishing their company,
- support in the first three years of existence of newly established businesses
- promoting and supporting the enterprise of students, PhD students, graduates and employees of WUST
- effective use of the intellectual and technological potential of WUST and transfer of research results to the market
- activating the Wrocław academic community to engage in economic business activity
- active prevention of unemployment among university graduates by offering comprehensive help to interested persons in setting up companies and their successful operation during the first period of functioning
- supporting the process of establishing spin-off type firms cooperating with the University by employees of WUST
- raising funds supporting the activity of AIP in the scope of academic enterprise
- initiating and supporting innovative actions of the University
- promoting WUST as a centre of implementing new technologies
Activities of AIP are managed by the Director who is approved by the Senate and appointed by the Rector (Chancellor).
Advisory bodies who give opinions, support and supervise the actions of AIP are the Supervisory Board appointed by the Rector.
